Revolutionize Your Marketing with AI: A Step-by-Step Guide

Good marketing starts with an offer a customer understands and an easy way to act on it. AI can help prepare content and organise routine work, but it still needs accurate business information, a clear brief and human review.
For a small business, the useful question is: which part of our customer journey is taking too long or losing enquiries?
1. Choose one offer and one audience
Choose a service or product you can explain in a sentence. A restaurant might promote weekday bookings; a wedding venue might focus on viewing appointments. Record who the offer is for, what it includes and the next action you want someone to take.
2. Check the destination
Before publishing more posts, inspect the page they will lead to. Can someone find the offer, check key details and contact you on a phone? Use one prominent action, such as requesting a quote or booking an appointment, and test that the enquiry reaches the right person.
3. Turn approved material into useful content
Use genuine product photographs, a current menu, accurate service details or approved customer questions. These can become short videos, captions, answers and website copy. Review names, prices, dates and claims before publication.
For example, a food business could supply photographs and the week's specials. The agreed content package might include a short promotional video, accompanying captions and a link to the current menu.
4. Organise the follow-up
Decide who receives an enquiry and what happens next. A simple acknowledgement and an organised lead list can prevent missed requests. Any automated marketing follow-up should use an agreed audience and the appropriate permission settings; never treat every incoming enquiry as an invitation to unlimited marketing.
5. Measure the commercial result
Track completed enquiries, appointments and sales alongside the time spent producing the content. Likes and views can be useful signals, but they are not the same as revenue. Compare similar periods and account for other changes such as promotions or seasonality.
Agree a small pilot before adding more tools. DGMC can scope website improvements, AI content and video, chatbots or automation around that specific bottleneck.
